Former President Obama has received a gold star for being the “good guy” during graduation parties hosted by the “college kids.”
The former president posted a picture of himself and his wife Michelle celebrating the occasion on his Instagram account Tuesday, which shows the couple celebrating a graduation party in the Rose Garden of the White House.
Obama received the medal for his leadership during graduation celebrations at The College of the Holy Cross in Hartford, Connecticut.
“The day is not over yet, but I do want to give a shout out to @jimbojackson, @marcusdahl, @matt_nallen, @natesilver, and @presidentobama,” he captioned the photo.
“For being the good guy.
For being a good leader.
For having the courage to lead and be the good leader that you were meant to be.”
In the post, Obama noted that he was one of the first graduates to attend the party, which was hosted by alumni and faculty.
“It’s been a wonderful, fun time for us to be at this graduation party,” he wrote.
“I hope we all celebrate a few more years of the President’s leadership and for the people of the United States to come together and do their best to keep our nation safe.”
The President is currently attending Harvard Business School.
The school released a statement saying it was honored to host the graduation parties.
“President Obama has been one of our country’s greatest presidents and one of its greatest leaders, so he is deeply honored to be a part of this graduation celebration,” the school said.
“As a former graduate of The College, he is well-versed in the importance of education, and the important role that universities play in our democracy.”
